That feature is kind of new. So it’s not so polished. So that 50 years thing is a bug (Or may be intentional).
But still, why 50 years?
There’s a good reason behind it. In UNIX time the value of zero is actually January 1st 1970. In simple words, January 1st 1970 is when the time starts for computers. In this case YouTube’s joining year is probably zero or null. Which is actually 1970 according to computers.
As you may know it’s 2020 now. So if you do the math, 1970 was 50 years ago.
