Have you ever noticed?
When you inhale deeply there’s always an extra room to breath in really deep. It’s hard to inhale completely in that extra space. But when you do it, it feels so great.
I said hard, because my success ratio for that is only 20%. When I inhale in other 80% my breathing gets stuck before filling that extra space. Don’t know if it’s only me or not. But yeah that’s why I mentioned it as hard.
So, why does it feels so great while taking extra deep breaths and what’s the biological mechanism behind this?
There’s a nervous system in our body, which is known as parasympathetic nervous system.
It helps in promoting calmness in our body.
So when you take extra deep breaths it increases oxygen in our brain. Which stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system in our body.
And as a result we all feel so calm. That’s why it feels so good to take an extra deep breath every now and then.
But it’s hard tho 🙁
So this was a short explanation for why does taking a complete deep breath by inhaling through that extra space feels so good.
I hope that helped you and thank you so much for visiting…
